WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS because mindset is everything - it is our foundation, our safe harbour. Only on a secure foundation can we build our hopes and dreams. A healthy mindset is crucial - without it, no amount of skill or expertise will see us through.

How many people do you know who on paper have all the qualities and attributes that should guarantee their success and yet they seem to flounder. The opposite is also true - with a healthy mindset the most unlikely person can grow and achieve things, which from the outset might seem unlikely.

We operate on an emotional plane - we are human beings, not human doings after all - and no matter how hard we try to deny it, what we think, affects how we feel and shows up in how we behave.

FLIP THE SCRIPT are closely linked and require a practise of daily affirmations. If you were lucky to have been raised with positive people around you as a child perhaps you have more of a natural affinity towards positive thoughts.

If you were not, the first step in the process of mindset - is to develop awareness. Notice your negative thought process or tendency to self sabotage and then "Flip the script" - actively make an effort to change the inner critic voice to something more kind and compassionate.

Self belief can be cultivated in much the same way as mindset can be. It requires discipline and a non-judgemental approach when you slip up or things don't go as planned.
