Kalukanda House is a peaceful haven close to the ocean and vibrant hum of the historic, coastal town of Weligama. Lofty living spaces and beautiful bedrooms open out onto gardens where fragrant Frangipani trees and swaying Palms frame a private pool and outdoor cabana. Peacocks, Monkeys and Kingfisher visit daily with other endemic birds and wildlife, and nothing beats waking up to the morning chorus with a pot of coffee while sitting on the terrace. A jungle yoga studio in our grounds offers classes, and massages can be arranged to soothe your body further.

Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect, the staff are friendly, warm and helpful and Chef's food was wonderful. The house is stunning, we had so much fun lazing by the pool watching the monkeys swing from the trees above, the beds are very comfortable and the house has been finished beautifully. We had a wonderful week long stay at Kalukanda House. A perfect place to do as much or as little as you want to. The house is perfectly set in lush gardens with plenty of outside space, including a lovely pool. The inside spaces are so well designed with a simplicity and style that you don't often find. 5 stars all round. I had a wonderful stay at Kalukandra house- a real gem. A beautifully designed boutique hotel built in a traditional Sri Lankan style. My days started with yoga (connected to the house), superb breakfasts, lounging by the pool or a 5 minute walk to fantastic beach(great for sunsets too) The staff were always on hand providing a great service with a smile…and the food - to die for ! Nearest airport Colombo. We are 2 hours south of Bandaranaike Airport by car, on the highway and then along the coast road from Galle to Weligama. Our car will collect you and bring you to the hotel, please let us know on booking whether you require this service.
